ANNUAL CONFERENCE

2021 CBFA Annual Conference
Call for Papers/Proposals

Intersection of Faith and Business

Plans are well under way for the 40th annual CBFA conference. This year’s theme is “Intersection of Faith and Business.” We welcome your academic papers or session proposals related to this theme and other topics of interest to the CBFA membership.

Submission is now a single-step process.  Click here to access and complete the conference submission form.  Deadline for submission is June 28, 2021.

Submission Overview

  • All submissions must be in Microsoft Word .docx format and APA 7 Professional Paper style (see sample paper here)

  • The file name should include the first author’s last name and part of the document title (e.g., Holbrook-Leadership.docx)

  • Title page with author(s)/participant(s) information must be included (note: identifying information will be removed before reviews)

  • In the spirit of collaboration, multi-author, multi-institution submissions are encouraged; no author will be accepted as lead author for more than TWO sessions

  • Prospective authors are encouraged to consider the reviewing criteria before finalizing submissions (view criteria here)

Types of Submissions Considered

  1. Full Papers – complete manuscripts (dissertation-based works are welcome, but whole dissertations will not be accepted)

  2. Pedagogy Sessions – complete manuscripts detailing best practice teaching techniques

  3. Panel Proposals – experts discussing special topics or a guided skill development workshop (subject to board approval)

  4. Working Papers/Proposals – research in progress (for authors seeking developmental feedback; generally assigned to poster session)

Proposal Requirements*

Proposals must be well developed and clearly detail the following in order to be considered:

  • Title page listing all participants and contact information

  • Intended purpose of the session along with goals and/or learning outcomes (i.e., key takeaways from attending)

  • Session highlights to include method of presentation, audience engagement, etc.

  • Selected references or works cited

*Due to the difficulty judging the merits of proposals in relation to papers, these submissions will be designated as poster presentations (exception: panel proposals): highly rated proposals may be considered for the regular program if space is available.

Help shape the conference program by being a reviewer.  Click here for more information.
