CBFA Program Chair​

Position Description

The Program Chair's responsibilities include:

  • Attending fall and spring board meetings

  • Establishing milestones for conference program development

  • Managing the conference submissions process (establishing guidelines, conveying milestones and reviewing submissions)

  • Managing the submission review process (recruiting volunteers, assigning submissions, monitoring review submission with respect to deadline) as well as managing the moderator process

  • Making program recommendations and developing the programming schedule

  • Managing the Best Paper awards and Proceedings of the Conference



  • Member in good standing with the CBFA

  • Possess excellent organizational skills

  • Possess excellent spreadsheet and word processing skills

  • Have strong communication and relational skills

  • Be able to work closely with the CBFA Board and its associated committees


Selection Process

Selected by the CBFA Executive Committee and approved by the Board.


Term of Service

  • The CBFA Program Chair serves a three year term.

  • The term of office begins in October 2020.

  • At the discretion of the CBFA Board, the CBFA Program Chair may serve additional consecutive three-year terms.
