CBFA Program Chair

Position Description

The Program Chair's responsibilities include:

  • Attending fall and spring board meetings

  • Establishing milestones for conference program development

  • Managing the conference submissions process (establishing guidelines, conveying milestones, and reviewing submissions)

  • Managing the submission review process (recruiting volunteers, assigning submissions, monitoring review submission with respect to deadline) as well as managing the moderator process

  • Making program recommendations and developing program schedule

  • Managing the Best Paper awards and Proceedings of the Conference

Qualifications
  • Member in good standing with the CBFA

  • Possesses excellent organizational skills

  • Possesses excellent spreadsheet and word processing skills

  • Has strong communication and relational skills

  • Able to work closely with the CBFA Board and its associated committees

Selection Process
  • Selected by the CBFA Executive Committee and approved by the Board

​

Terms of Service
  • Three-year term

  • Term begins in October

  • At the discretion of the CBFA Board, the CBFA Secretary may serve additional consecutive three-year terms
